MISSION – Operational Specialist, DC Seoul, SML APAC
한국의 물류센터(DC) 일상적인 DC Operational 업무를 담당하실 자발적인 Operational Specialist를 찾고 있습니다. 우리는 산업 근로자(팀 리더 및 팀원) 인력으로 24,000m2 규모의 시설을 운영하고 있습니다. 귀하는 효율성, 품질, 리드 타임, 배송 정밀도 등 운영 결과의 지속적인 개선을 보장할 책임이 있습니다. 마찬가지로 중요한 책임은 작업 수행 방식을 개선하고 포용적인 문화를 통해 직원 코칭, 프로세스 개선, 작업 환경을 통해 Lean 원칙의 사용을 장려하는 것입니다. 이 역할을 성공적으로 수행하려면 뛰어난 대인 관계 기술, 문제를 개선하고 해결하려는 개인적인 추진력, 확고한 협력 능력이 필수적입니다.

해당직위는 DC Operations 팀장에게 보고하고 Operational Support specialist와 Team leaders(팀 리더)와 긴밀히 협력하게 됩니다.

 

- 부품 보관, 공간 활용, 도구 및 장비에 대한 다양한 전략과 방법을 모색하여 DC 운영 팀의 물류 센터 목표 생산성 확보 및 최적화에 기여합니다.

- 일상적인 직장 생활에서 적극적인 리더십을 통해 모든 운영 직원과 동료를 위한 적극적인 배려 문화를 개발하도록 DC 운영 팀을 조정합니다.

- 문제 해결 방법론인 Kaizen 전반에 걸쳐 지속적인 개선 과정에서 팀 리더와 운영 인력을 지도합니다.

 

 

역할과 책임(ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)

 

- DC 운영 프로세스(하역, 비닝, 적치, 피킹, 포장, 적재, 품질 검사, 불일치 감지 및 조사 등) 성능 최적화

 - VPS(Volvo Performance System) 방법론에 반영된 린(Lean) 원칙 적용을 통해 운영 우수성을 촉진합니다

- 품질, 고객 서비스, 리드 타임, 생산성 및 비용 효율성을 개선하기 위해 내부 자재 흐름 및 관리 프로세스 개선 사항을 개발, 권장 및 구현합니다.

- 운영 핵심 성과 지표를 시기적절하게 추적하고 사전에 협력하여 편차를 해결합니다.

- 현지 및 지역별 활동을 통해 운영 동료를 위한 적극적인 돌봄 문화를 구축하는 적극적인 역할

MISSION – Operations Specialist, DC Seoul, SML APAC

We are looking for a self-motivated Operations Specialist who will be responsible for the Distribution Center (DC) day-to-day DC operational task in Korea. We run an 24,000 m² facility with a workforce of industrial workers (team leaders and team members). You will be responsible for securing continuous improvements in the operational output such as efficiency, quality, lead times, and delivery precision. An equally important responsibility is to improve the way work is being performed and nurture the use of Lean principles with coaching people, improving processes, and the working environment through an inclusive culture. Excellent interpersonal skills, a personal drive to improve and to solve the problem, and a solid ability to cooperate are essential to succeed in this role.

 

The position will be reporting to the head of DC Operations and working closely with Operational Support specialist and team leaders.

 

Contribute to secure aimed productivity and optimization of the Distribution Center in DC Operations team by exploring different strategies and methods in parts storing, space utilization, tools, and equipment.

Coordinate DC Operations team to develop an active care culture for all operational personnel and colleagues through an active leadership in day-to-day work life.

Coach the team leaders and operational personnels in continuous improvement journey throughout Kaizen, problem-solving methodologies.

 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Optimization of performance for the DC operational processes (unloading, binning, put-away, picking, packing, loading, quality checking, discrepancy detection and investigation, etc.)

Drive Operational Excellence through application of lean principles reflected in the Volvo Performance System (VPS) methodologies

Develop, recommend, and implement improvements in the internal materials flow and administrative processes to improve quality, customer service, lead-time, productivity, and cost-efficiency

Keep track of operational key performance indicators timely and collaborate to work on deviations proactively

Active role to build active care culture for our operations colleagues through local & regional activities

Be accountable for operational internal interfaces and external customer demands having efficient communication and relationships to ensure the needs of our organization and customers are met

Participation and contribution to key transformation projects on all activities related to DC Seoul by showcasing project management competencies and skills.

Coordinate compliance with Internal/ External Audits without any non-conformance and ensuring adherence to systems and processes to Audit Standards.

 

Also, Logistics Developer role focuses on designing, adapting and implementing end-to-end logistics processes, solutions, and tools. These may include:
- Collecting and analyzing data systems, procedural activities and information flows and assess the efficiency and costs of logistics processes

- Researching operational costs, industry and regulatory issues and maintain a current and comprehensive database on which to draw for solutions development

- Using statistical modeling skills to develop, and cost justify logistics solutions

- Managing inventories and tactical planning, taking into account future needs

- Managing/coordinating inter-company shipments and troubleshooting.

QUALIFICATION

Minimum bachelor’s degree, master’s degree will be preferable.

Relevant tertiary qualifications in the Supply Chain Management / Logistics / warehousing Operations Management or related fields

Minimum work experience of 2-5 Years in similar job role / expertise

IT systems knowledge (Warehouse Management Systems/ERP systems/AS400 systems)
